It was in 2023, at a time in my life when I needed to transform my everyday life into something beautiful, that I started jewelry making as a self-taught person.

Initially, it was just an outlet, a manual activity that offered my mind a space to escape.

Working with metal taught me patience, precision, and freedom.

I wanted to go even further by improving my skills through online training.

After several months of reflection, I decided to change careers and turn my passion into my profession.

I then joined a jewelry school where I obtained my first professional training certificate in jewelry making.

In 2024, with the unconditional support of my loved ones, I created Atelier Honu Handmade Jewellery.

A true culmination of life.

I am delighted to welcome you to my Universe, a space where each piece is handcrafted with exacting standards and sincerity.

I advocate for Slow Luxury .

This means that I take the necessary time to ensure that each of my creations has meaning, a message, and a presence, but also true quality in terms of robustness and finish. Therefore, I choose not to use molding or casting (techniques commonly used in jewelry making and inexpensive, which save production time).

My pieces are unique and are born according to my inspirations.
I primarily work with sterling silver and Tahitian pearls, but gold and precious or semi-precious stones are also part of my creative repertoire, as are personalized and custom-made projects. Why did I choose a sea turtle as my logo?

Because ocean wildlife has always fascinated me. Among these enigmatic and ancient species, the sea turtle lives. To me, it is majestic. It flies (excuse me... it swims with lightness), it is able to adapt on land as well as underwater, it is gentle, harmless, persevering, courageous, and can live for centuries.

Why did I choose blue as the color representing my brand?

Simply because it's my favorite color.
And then, "as luck would have it..." it's also the color of the Ocean.

Why did I choose "HONU" as my brand name?

(pronounced "on-oo")

Well, because in Polynesian, it refers to the Turtle.

Why did I choose a name from the Polynesian language?

Honestly? Because it sounded good to me.
And what's more...it fits perfectly into my main universe which makes the Pearl of Tahiti, the Queen of the Honu Kingdom.

Why did I choose "More than a jewel, an DNA" as my slogan?

For 2 reasons
The First : in relation to this family heritage I mentioned earlier, that of the Passion for Metal and its Progressive Transformation

The second reason : because each piece I create is unique, like DNA; it carries within it a message or symbolism that represents a moment in the life or even a thought, of the unique person who will have chosen to wear it.
