A legacy in my DNA
As the granddaughter of a metalworker and the daughter of a trainee jeweller, I have always been drawn to metal and its gradual transformation. A family passion and a craft passed down through my DNA.

The story of a passion
It was in 2023, at a time in my life when I needed to transform my daily routine into something beautiful, that I began making Jewellery as a self-taught artisan. At first
, it was simply an outlet, a hands-on activity that offered my mind a space to escape.
Working with metal taught me patience, precision and freedom.
I wanted to take it a step further by honing my skills through online courses.
After several months of reflection, I decided to change careers and turn my passion into my profession.
I then enrolled at a jewellery school where I obtained my first vocational qualification in Jewellery making.
In 2024, with the unconditional support of my loved ones, I founded Atelier Honu Handmade Jewellery.
A true fulfilment of my life’s journey.
I am delighted to welcome you into my world, a space where every piece is shaped by hand with precision and sincerity.
Slow luxury is my way of working.
I take the time to craft each piece to give it a distinct presence, as well as genuine quality in terms of durability and finish.
I have therefore chosen not to use casting or casting, and not to produce items in series.
I work primarily with solid silver 950 and 750‰ (18K) palladium-plated white gold, both recycled and RJC-certified.
My jewellery is adorned with selected natural materials, such as Tahitian pearls, mother-of-pearl, coral and gemstones.

Why did I choose the sea turtle as my logo?
Because ocean wildlife has always fascinated me. Among these ancient, enigmatic species lives the sea turtle. To me, she is majestic. She flies (forgive me... she swims with effortless grace), she adapts equally on land and beneath the surface, gentle, harmless, resilient, tenacious and brave.
The Luth turtle in particular has always intrigued me. She is the largest and oldest of all sea turtles, more than 100 million years old, making her a witness to the whole of human history. She is also set apart from her sisters by her shell, which resembles leather and bears 7 longitudinal ridges called keels. The Luth turtle has no scales.

Why did I choose blue as my main colour?
Simply because it is my favourite colour.
And, as luck would have it... it is also the colour of the ocean.
Why did I choose the word "HONU" as the name?
(pronounced "ônou")
Because in Polynesian, it means Turtle.
Why choose a name from the Polynesian language?
Honestly? Because it sounded right to me.
And besides... it fits my world perfectly, profoundly Luth.
There you have it, now you know my world.
I wish you a beautiful voyage... profoundly Luth.
