Working with metal has taught me patience, precision and freedom. For me, it represents a ‘space-time’ that holds its own, which I call ‘slow luxury’.
Taking the time to create at the pace of the lute – a slow yet active and powerful rhythm.
MY JOURNEY
Self-taught
My Know-How developed quite unexpectedly. It’s probably down to my genes and the DNA I inherited from my father and grandfather.
From hobby to profession, skill is acquired through passion, practice, and yet more practice.
WHAT I STAND FOR
Deeply Luth
I create pieces of jewellery in which the leatherback turtle and what it represents form the foundation of my creative world.
It embodies everything I seek to convey through Honu Handmade Jewellery and my designs.
It moves slowly, yet there is no lack of power in it.
WHAT I DO
Unique pieces, without casting.
Each of my pieces is the result of a dialogue between my hand and the material.
I work with metal with respect, I choose natural motifs, and the living world that inspires my creative vision remains at the heart of the Honu Handmade Jewellery approach.

WHAT MATERIALS
Noble and natural
When crafting my pieces, I have chosen to work with so-called ‘white’ metals, such as solid silver 950‰ and 750‰ (18K) palladium-plated white gold, all of which are recycled and RJC-certified.
For the adornments, I have chosen to work with natural materials such as mineral and organic gemstones.
WHEN I TRANSFORM,
Nothing is wasted
Scrap metal, those precious remnants of metalworking, is carefully collected and then melted down to be reincorporated into my creative process. It was during one of these processes that a creative accident occurred, giving rise to the Brut Collection.
MY COMMITMENTS
Start with the Living
I select my suppliers and partners for their ethical standards and their commitment to biodiversity preservation. The metals I work with are RJC certified. My packaging and wrapping are FSC® certified and made from recycled materials. For every order I place, a tree is planted.
