My eco-responsible choices
When I talk about responsibility, I’m talking about concrete decisions made when choosing my suppliers—commitments that can be verified.
Precious Metals.
I source exclusively from suppliers who are members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). Founded in 2005, the RJC is the global benchmark for ethics in the Jewellery and watchmaking supply chain. Its members commit to strict criteria: human rights, working conditions, material traceability, and environmental impact. Over 2,000 companies worldwide are members, and my suppliers are among them. The origin of the material is part of the jewelry.
Packaging.
The jewelry boxes and packaging I use come from a supplier certified by FSC® (sustainably managed forests), ISO 14001 (certified environmental management), and a signatory to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Their eco-friendly product lines are made from recycled materials or materials sourced from sustainable sources. With every order I place, trees are planted. What you receive says something about what I choose.
Preserving Life.
This eco-friendly approach is also reflected in my partnership with Renatura Congo, dedicated to protecting sea turtles along the Congolese coastline. Working with Tahitian Pearls means working with the ocean. I cannot remain indifferent to what it shelters.
I set these standards for myself because I believe that every decision made in the creation of a piece of jewelry has a real impact on the environment and future generations. These same generations who will inherit Honu Jewels.
Giving or treating yourself to a piece of Honu jewelry means choosing a pleasure that respects materials, people, and the planet.
