This flower looks like her. A strong presence, clean lines, almost sharp at first glance. Then, behind that appearance, something deeply sensitive and gentle reveals itself.

The piece

Suzy is a sculptural ring shaped entirely by hand in rhodium-plated solid silver 950.

Its flower is built from petals shaped and textured by hand on both faces. At its centre, a Mediterranean red coral bead brings a clear, deep colour.

The ring body is an integral part of the composition. Its woven silver, made and then brazed onto a reinforcing structure, follows a deliberately off-centre line that lets the flower sit differently on the hand depending on how Suzy is worn.

Placed more loosely on the finger, the flower rests above the neighbouring finger. Worn more closely fitted, it rises in line with the finger holding the ring. This construction gives the piece a different presence according to its position on the hand.

Two topazes of an intense blue, set on either side of the ring body, punctuate the weave. Their colour answers the deep red of the coral and creates a clear contrast in the middle of the silver.
