From the Lisbon workshop to Milan: Honu Handmade Jewellery selected for ARTISTAR Jewels 2026

An important step is taking shape for Honu Handmade Jewellery: six creations will join ARTISTAR Jewels 2026 at Palazzo Bovara during Milano Jewelry Week. The article follows this passage from the workshop to the international scene, through gesture, material and the selected pieces.

At the workshop, the gesture prepares Honu Handmade Jewellery's path to Milan.

When I began working metal in 2023, I was looking for a space where beauty could return to my life.

The gesture, the material and the time spent at the bench gradually traced a direction. This practice became a craft, then the foundation of Honu Handmade Jewellery, an artisanal art jewellery Maison shaped by a personal approach to creation.

Today, this path is taking six of my creations to Milan.

Honu Handmade Jewellery has been selected to take part in ARTISTAR Jewels 2026, the emblematic international exhibition of Milano Jewelry Week. The pieces will be presented at Palazzo Bovara, in the heart of Milan, on 24, 25 and 26 October 2026.

This selection by a curatorial committee marks an important step in the Maison's path. It recognises an independent artistic approach, the precision of the execution and the creative identity that is built into each of my pieces.

ARTISTAR Jewels 2026, an international curatorial selection

Participation in Milano Jewelry Week is by selection. A committee of curators reviews applications and selects creators whose work meets the artistic and technical standards of the event.

Milano Jewelry Week brings together artists, designers, maisons and professionals from many countries. Its programme includes several exhibitions, meetings, presentations and moments devoted to the different expressions of contemporary jewellery.

ARTISTAR Jewels holds a central place in this programme. The exhibition is dedicated to author jewellery and contemporary body ornaments. At Palazzo Bovara, it brings together creations chosen for their language, their making and their ability to carry an identifiable vision.

Knowing that several Honu pieces will take their place in this international setting gives a particular resonance to the path travelled since my first gestures at the bench.

Six Honu creations exhibited at Palazzo Bovara

The selection for ARTISTAR Jewels brings together six creations from three territories of the Maison:

the Totem Luth pendant, collection Totem Luth

the Vaihau pendant, collection Lagon

the Mata'i'oa pendant, collection Lagon

the Impact pendant, collection Brut.

the Origine ring, collection Brut.

the Alien ring, collection Brut.

Each one expresses a particular relationship with material and gesture.

Totem Luth carries the tutelary figure of Honu Handmade Jewellery.

Totem Luth carries the tutelary figure of Honu Handmade Jewellery. Its construction belongs to the language of the leatherback turtle, its seven ridges and the trajectory it embodies.

Vaihau and Mata'i'oa belong to the world of Lagon. The ocean acts as a guiding thread through the movement of water, the depth of the materials and the symbols of life.

Impact, Origine and Alien come from Brut., a creative territory born from a creative accident. Their surfaces keep the trace of transformation. They evoke the birth of matter through cosmic and organic textures.

Brought together in Milan, these six pieces will reveal several dimensions of my work: the presence of the ocean, the direct sculpture of metal, the freedom of form and the attention given to textures.

One hand accompanies the piece

Each selected creation was shaped at the bench, directly in the material.

I build my pieces gradually, through cutting, forging, ramolayé, carving, forming, brazing, filing, polishing and hand finishing. Each step calls for observation, a decision and sometimes a return to the work.

This continuity of gesture holds an essential place in the identity of Honu Handmade Jewellery. The same hand accompanies the piece from raw material to its final balance.

The selection for ARTISTAR Jewels gives international visibility to this way of creating. It places workshop time, technical precision and the singularity of form at the heart of the presentation.

The creations published in the ARTISTAR Jewels 2026 book

The six exhibited creations will also be published in the official ARTISTAR Jewels 2026 book.

This publication dedicated to contemporary author jewellery brings together the artists and pieces selected for the exhibition. Its international distribution is intended in particular for sector professionals, galleries, collectors and institutions.

The presence of Honu Handmade Jewellery in this publication will give a lasting trace to the selection. The photographs and information devoted to the pieces will extend their presentation beyond the three exhibition days at Palazzo Bovara.

This presence in a collective book connects with an essential idea for the Maison: a piece of jewellery can be worn, understood, documented, cared for and passed on.

Honu Handmade Jewellery in THE JEWELRY DROPS

A second selection will accompany the Maison's presence during Milano Jewelry Week.

Four creations will appear in THE JEWELRY DROPS, the event's editorial publication dedicated to jewels chosen for their creative identity and the quality of their making:

the Eugénie necklace, range Prestige

the Totem Luth pendant, range Totem Luth

the Vaihau pendant, collection Lagon

the Impact pendant, collection Brut.

Impact creates a dialogue between transformed material and the movement of the body.

This publication brings together pieces from several expressions of Honu Handmade Jewellery. Eugénie carries the Prestige territory, with significant workshop time, an ambitious construction and a strong presence of materials. The three other creations establish a direct link with the selection exhibited at Palazzo Bovara.

Together, they form a faithful glimpse of the Maison: art jewellery shaped by hand, an active relationship with material and forms that follow their own trajectory.

A step in the path of Honu Handmade Jewellery

This selection comes less than two years after the official beginning of Honu Handmade Jewellery's activity.

It gives new visibility to work built with patience and precision. It also opens a dialogue with curators, jewellery artists, galleries, collectors and visitors from different horizons.

I fully measure what this step represents.

It joins the three pillars that guide every decision of the Maison: Mastery in the gesture, Measure in the way forward and Authenticity in the relationship between word, material and piece.

The coming weeks will be devoted to preparing the creations, the documents and their journey to Milan. I will gradually share details of the selected pieces and the different steps that will precede their presentation.

Pieces still available for acquisition

The creations selected for ARTISTAR Jewels and THE JEWELRY DROPS remain available for sale, subject to availability.

The pieces intended for the exhibition at Palazzo Bovara will travel to Milan before the event opens. Shipment to their purchaser will take place after their return to the workshop, following Milano Jewelry Week.

Each relevant order will receive personal support and precise information on the planned schedule.

The creations can be viewed on the Honu Handmade Jewellery website. They will be presented in greater detail in a forthcoming article devoted to their origin, their materials and the gestures that gave them form.
